The Importance Of De-Cluttering

Virtual tours are practically a virtual walk-thru of a home, and are now practically considered as a "virtual showing". So, it is very important that a home is de-cluttered before a virtual tour is done. First impressions are the ONLY thing that matters when it comes to home buying. It doesnt matter if the buyer viewed the home online or in person, if they do not get that initial "I could live there" feeling then there is NO way that a deal would come together and you may be in for a tough sell.

Keeping only the basics & a few decorative pieces and placing them in well thought out locations throughout the home will make a world of difference. This is where a home stager will come in handy. They can advise clients as to what they need to get rid of in order to make their home show-able and in turn, much better to photograph.

Remember more and more people are using the internet to shop for a home so it IS important to have a virtual tour (or still shots) available online for the 80-85% of potential buyers using that as their main resource before calling an agent.
